On Tuesday, March 1, the deadline for candidate filings for the 2022 election cycle closed. The filing period began February 22nd. The filings set the stage for the upcoming primary elections to be held May 24th and the general election that will follow on November 8th.
This year's election will cover 199 state and federal offices up for election in Arkansas this year, including all 135 seats in the general assembly, every state consititional office, all congressional districts, and a U.S. Senate seat.
