Walmart, the world's largest retailer headquartered in Bentonville, Arkansas, recently announced a series of environmental commitments and inititiatives including efforts to drive "pollinator-friendly" practices throughout its supply chain. Included in their list of commitments were sourcing of fresh produce and flowers from suppliers who adopt certain third-party verified integrated pest management plans that phase out use of certain pesticides. It also included commitments to invest in pollinator habitat and encourage suppliers to meet supplier goals of expanding pollinator habitat.
