Vilsack Outlines Goals to American Farm Bureau

On Monday, January 10th, USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack addressed the American Farm Bureau Federation at its annual meeting held in Atlanta, Georgia. Secretary Vilsack outlined various priorities and goals of the Biden administration. In addition to Secretary Vilsack, President Biden also provided a recorded message for the American Farm Bureau.

Secretary Vilsack highlighted the administration's goal to expand export market opportunities and enforce vital trade agreements, deploy broadband in rural communities, and invest in new climate smart agriculture and forestry efforts aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

President Biden spoke about improving supply chains, investing in infrastructure, promoting competition in the marketplace, and addressing climate change with solutions that benefit farmers.
