Vilsack Forms Equity Commission Names Arkansan as Senior Advisor

On Monday, March 1st, Secretary Tom Vilsack announced plans to assign a commission at USDA to study issues of equity in agriculture. He also announced names of key advisers for racial issues and market reform, including Arkansan Dewayne Goldmon who will serve as the secretary's senior advisor for racial equity. Goldmon recently served as executive director for the National Black Growers Council and worked for Bayer and previously Monsanto. He is a resident of Jefferson County where his family has a row crop farming operation.
