On Monday, February 8th, the USDA National Agriculture Statistics Service (NASS) issued a Catfish Production Report. According to the report, catfish growers in the United States had sales of 371 million dollars during 2020, down 2 percent from 380 million dollars the previous year. The top four States (Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, and Arkansas) accounted for 97 percent of the United States total sales. Arkansas catfish growers had foodsize fish sales of $16.6 million during 2020, down 16 percent from 2019.
