On Wednesday, March 31st, USDA National Agriculture Statistics Service (NASS) released updated grain and rice stocks reports. According to the reports, corn stocks in all positions on March 1, 2021 totaled 7.70 billion bushels, down 3 percent from March 1, 2020 while soybeans stored in all positions on March 1, 2021 totaled 1.56 billion bushels, down 31 percent from March 1, 2020. All wheat stored in all positions on March 1, 2021 totaled 1.31 billion bushels, down 7 percent from a year ago. Rough rice stocks in all positions on March 1, 2021, totaled 98.7 million hundredweight (cwt), up 15 percent from the total on March 1, 2020. Milled rice stocks in all positions totaled 5.73 million cwt, up 9 percent from a year ago.
