Ben Mosely, USA Rice Vice President of Government Affairs, stepped down from his post at the end of April. Following his departure, current USA Rice staff members assumed new roles and responsibilities aimed at ensuring a smooth transition and a great team to tackle policy and government affairs initiatives. Peter Bachmann is now Vice President, Policy & Government Affairs: Responsible for the successful development and implementation of USA Rice’s trade policy, farm policy, and government affairs programs directed at Congress and the Executive Branch. Jamison Cruce is now Senior Director, Government Affairs: Responsible for management of the USA Rice Farmers Board, its associated committees and the Farm Policy Task Force. He will serve as USA Rice's chief lobbyist on policy issues and will work with Peter Bachmann on policy implementation. Josie McLaurin is now Manager, Government Affairs and PAC: Responsible for management of the USA Rice PAC, staff liaison for the PAC Board, monitoring legislative activity and supporting execution of policy issues.
