US and EU Negotiation on Trade Policy Leads to Elimination of Tariffs on US Rice

A new trade arrangement was met between the United State and the European Union that will lead to greater market access for U.S. agriculture commodities, including rice, into Europe. The new opportunities come as the United States agreed to discontinue import tariffs on steel and aluminum. The previous tariffs were initiated by the Trump administration, which resulted in retaliatory tariffs on corn, rice and other commodities from the US.
