The University of Arkansas System's Division of Agriculture's Cooperative Extension Service announced July 26th that it would cancel in person crop field days due to the increasing spread of the Delta variant of Covid, which is said to be more transmissible and virulent. The events will move to a virtual setting and be available online. The number of Covid cases throughout the state have increases substantially in recent weeks, and the number of hospitalized patients with Covid have also increased to record numbers placing strain on health care facilities and related services throughout the state.
