UofA Ag Economists Estimate COVID-19 Impact on Farms

The University of Arkansas System's Division of Agriculture's economists continue to analyze the impact of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in addition to other economic factors affecting row crop agriculture in Arkansas. Since the start of the pandemic, many commodities have seen significant reductions to prices that were already in a poor place for Arkansas farmers. Ag economists with the University of Arkansas have assessed the impact of COVID-19 on model farms in Arkansas, and the information is available below along with an estimate of the impact of the assistance made to date for the 2019 crop.
