U.S. & U.K. Trade Officials Will Meet to Discuss Opportunities

Trade officials from the United States and the United Kingdom are scheduled to meet in Baltimore, MD, next week to open a new dialogue seeking opportunities of mutual benefit in trade. The meeting is the first of two scheduled meetings, which has increased hope that the two nations can negotiate a bilateral free trade agreement. The two nations began discussions towards such a deal in 2019.

Last week, representatives from Arkansas, including Secretary of Agriculture Wes Ward and Senate Agriculture Committee staff for Senator John Boozman joined an agriculture trade delegation to the U.K. where they also discussed potential benefits of a bilateral agreement.
