State Revenue Numbers Remain Strong in March

The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) this week reported that March net available general revenue was $372.9 million, $16.3 million above March 2020 and $20.8 million — or 5.9% — above forecast. Year-to-date net available general revenue was nearly $4.67 billion, 9.6% above the same time last year and 13.3% above forecast. The department said the results include net collection increases tied to the income tax due date shift to July from April in the previous fiscal year. March sales tax collections came in at 2.3% above the same month last year and 3.6% above forecast.
