Plant Board Pesticide Committee Recommends Retention of State Dicamba Use Regulations

On Wednesday, January 26th, the Arkansas State Plant Board's pesticide committee held a meeting in which it considered whether to recommend any changes to the state's rules governing in-crop use of dicamba herbicides. The committee voted to recommend to the full board that it retain the current restrictions on use, which requires a stop-use date of June 30th. The rule was adopted prior to the 2021 growing season and is considered a permanent rule, which would require new rulemaking to change.

The full Plant Board will hold its next quarterly meeting on March 3rd, at 9:30am.
