On Monday, May 9th, the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) released an updated Crop Progress and Condition Report for the U.S. and Arkansas. According to the report, Arkansas farmers continue to make progress following several weeks of heavy rains and high levels of soil moisture. Drier conditions have allowed for planting to get closer to catching up to the state's five year average.
