On Monday, July 11th, USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) issued an updated Crop Progress and Condition Report. The report for Arkansas indicated additional slippage of crop condition due to lack of rainfall and excessive heat that has caused recent crop stress. The report showed corn at 41 percent dough, soybeans at 42 percent setting pods, cotton at 32 percent setting bolls, peanuts at 58 percent pegging, and winter wheat at 99 percent harvested.
