The U.S. hemp industry is looking to its top advocate in Congress, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), to advance top legislative priorities in the next "must-pass" COVID-19 aid package. The hemp industry wants legislation to force the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to issue guidance and rules for food and cosmetics products containing hemp, and they want hemp businesses to be eligible for aid already provided for small businesses and farms.
