Farm Corps Program Providing New Labor Supply Amid Pandemic

A new initiative spearheaded by Arkansas First District Congressman Rick Crawford is seeking to fill labor shortages in agriculture through the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative, known as Arkansas Farm Corps aimd to connect a ready, willing and able workforce of National Guard and Reserve soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and other military veterans in service to Arkansas agriculture. While the program is in its early days, it's already proven to be a success for participants to date. Labor concerns in agriculture are expected to continue as the novel coronavirus continues to spread throughout the state and agriculture continues its essential work of providing food supply.
