Dr. Jewel Bronaugh Confirmed by Senate for USDA Deputy Secretary

On Thursday, May 13, Dr. Jewel Bronaugh was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to serve the U.S. Department of Agriculture as deputy secretary. Dr. Bronaugh is the first African American to serve in the role. She previously served as Commissioner of Agriculture for the Commonwealth of Virginia where she's previously served as State Director for USDA Farm Service Agency.
