The Delta Regional Authority (DRA), an economic development authority serving an eight state region in the Mid-South established by Congress in 2000, is undergoing a new strategic plan for the agency that will establish the agency's priorities and actions for the next five years. The plan is being developed in partnership with VisionFirst Advisors, an economic development consulting firm.
The agency is typically funded by Congress at a level of $20 million annually, and the resources are deployed in a variety of programs and projects designed to support workforce and economic development and entrepreneurship in the region it serves.
