On Tuesday, July 14, USDA announced more record breaking purchases of U.S. corn from China. According to USDA, China booked its biggest single-day U.S. corn purchase on record on Tuesday with 1.762 million tons of corn. It is the second major purchase in less than a week's time. On July 10th, a sale of 1.365 million tons was announced by USDA. These transactions, plus additional purchases of soybean and wheat, indicate more progress in fulfilling Phase 1 commitments under the agreement reached between the US and China earlier this year.
