Bayer Warns of Glyphosate Production Problems

Bayer Cropscience is warning retail partners that glyphosate supplies may be difficult to find due to production issues related to a supplier's manufacturing problem. The situation that is being described by Bayer as a "force majeure" event, appears to set the stage for limited supplies as it may take up to three months to return to normal production of glyphosate. Glyphosate is one of the most commonly used herbicides in agriculture under the Roundup brand name, and this news comes on top of already challenging supply issues for a wide range of crop protection products due to supply chain disruptions and other factors.
