August 17 Crop Progress and Condition Report

On Monday, August 17th, the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) issued a new Crop Progress and Condition Report. The report provides estimates for the condition of primary crops grown in Arkansas and throughout the nation. For Arkansas, crops are in pretty solid condition across the board as they have been for most of the growing season, despite delayed plantings for many. Nationally, crops are mostly in decent condition, however the report did indicate some deterioration in states affected by the derecho that ripped through the corn belt last week.
