On Wednesday, August 12th, the USDA released an updated World Agriculture Supply and Demand Estimate (WASDE) Report. The report estimated a bumper crop for much of the United States with record soybean and corn production. However, the report did not account for recent crop damage from storms that struck the Midwest.
