On Monday, April 26, USDA National Agriculture Statistics Service (NASS) issued an updated Crop Progress and Condition Report. According to the report, Arkansas farmers had 70 percent of corn acres planted, 44 percent of rice acres planted, 26 percent of soybean acres planted, 5 percent of peanut acres planted, and 2 percent of cotton acres planted. 96 percent of the winter wheat crop in Arkansas was estimated to be in fair to excellent condition.
