On September 1, Anheuser-Busch announced at its Jonesboro rice mill that it would contribute $100,000 to USA Rice for the advancement of the Rice Stewardship Partnership (RSP), which is an ongoing effort by the U.S. rice industry to promote conservation activities on working farmlands to conserve resources and promote sustainability. Rice is a key component in production of many products marketed by Anheuser-Busch, and much of their supply is grown and processed in Arkansas. Anheuser-Busch has been a cooperative partner in the USA Rice RSP initiative since its inception as a public-private partnership under the USDA Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP).
