White House Says Deal Reached on Reconciliation and Infrastructure Measures

On Thursday, President Biden announced that a consensus has been reached among democrats in the House and Senate that should allow for passage of both a bipartisan infrastructure package that invests in "hard infrastructure" and much of the president's "Build Back Better" budget reconciliation plan that invests in "soft infrastructure," or social programs, and other policy priorities of democrats, including climate change. President Biden released the framework for the reconciliation package as part of his announcement. The House rules committee released details of the legislation including bill text and summary, available here.
