Weather Forecasts Show Hot and Dry Air Coming to West Texas & Midwest

Weather forecasts for the remainder of July and into early August are pointing towards significant increases in hot and dry air over important U.S. row crop production areas. Particular concern for drought include areas of Texas and areas of the Mid-West. Arkansas is expected to see higher temperatures and less rain, but not to the same levels. Many forecasters are seeing the set up of the forecast to be similar to what was experienced in 2012, which caused signficant disruption in crop production for a variety of primary commodities.
