On November 18th, President Biden hosted a White House diplomatic summit with his counterparts from Canada and Mexico to discuss a range of issues, including implementation of the United States, Mexico, and Canada (USMCA) trade agreement. President Biden planned to use the meeting as an opportunity to strengthen diplomatic ties with U.S. neighbors and to strengthen the North American alliance with other historic allies around the world. The meeting focused on highlighting areas of agreement between the three neighboring nations while largely avoiding points of disagreements in areas such as immigration and trade.
