On Wednesday, June 1, USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack announced new spending plans aimed at a framework for transforming food systems and helping to address supply chain challenges facing food supply. The announcement received a cold welcome from Senator John Boozman (R-AR) who is ranking member of the Senate Agriculture Committee. Senator Boozman has sought out more actions by Secretary Vilsack to boost supply and address inflation.
