The U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol, the U.S. cotton industry's sustainability initiative, recently announced that it was expanding its services to include brands and retailers after a successful launch of its pilot phase focused on growers. The Trust Protocol is a new system for responsibly grown cotton that will provide annual data for six areas of sustainability. The year-over-year data will allow brands and retailers to better measure progress towards meeting sustainability commitments and give them additional confidence in sourcing the most sustainable cotton supply for their production and consumer needs.
