On December 3rd, the University of Arkansas System's Division of Agriculture released an updated Arkansas Agriculture Profile fact book, which describes the importance of agriculture to Arkansas's economy. The report, developed by economists with the Division of Agriculture, highlights areas of strength in agriculture relative to various commodities and other states in the U.S. According to the report, agriculture in Arkansas contributed more than $19 billion to the economy in 2020, which represents 14.6 percent of total value added to the state economy.
