On October 5th, the University of Arkansas System's Division of Agriculture announced that it has hired Christian De Guzman to serve as an assistant professor and rice breeder at the Rice Research and Extension Center in Stuttgart. Dr. Guzman was previously a rice breeder and researcher at Southeast Missouri State University's Rice Research Farm.
