UofA Enters Agreement to Conduct Vertical Farming Research

On Monday, April 26, the University of Arkansas announced that it has entered into an agreement to conduct collaborative research in vertical farming. The partnership is with vertical farming business 80 Acres Farms and aimed at advancing the science of vertical farming. Scientists with the experiment station, the research arm of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture, will coordinate with 80 Acres Farms researchers to pursue a variety of vertical farming research topics, said Bryan Renk, director of commercialization for the division’s Technology Commercialization Office. 80 Acres Farm maintains a R&D grow facility in Northwest Arkansas, which they plan to soon expand.
