Scott Stiles, economist with the University of Arkansas System's Division of Agriculture, has updated his estimates for payment rates for the Price Loss Coverage (PLC). According to his estimates, payment rates will be significantly lower for the 2020 crop year due to marketing year average prices, and in some cases will trigger no payment on certain commodities. Also, he has shared presentation from Kansas State University that discusses variables to consider when making elections for ARC and PLC for the 2021 crop year.
