U.S. Report Calls Out China for WTO Non-Compliance

A recent report from the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) to Congress details identified failures of China in meeting its obligations to the World Trade Organization (WTO) since the nation joined the group in 2001. The report also noted that the U.S. is exploring new ways to combat aggressive and unfair Chinese trade practices. In addition to being out of compliance with its WTO obligations, China is also failing to meet its bilateral "Phase 1" agreement with the U.S.
