Recent reports by American Farm Bureau and USDA indicate food costs increasing and American consumers should expect a more expensive Thanksgiving meal this year. While USDA and American Farm Bureau estimates on estimated increases, both did show year over year increases in costs. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) and other republican colleagues of his took the opportunity to highlight the Thanksgiving price reports and recent consumer price index reports to point out that Americans were feeling inflation pressures across the board, and they placed much of the blame on policies led by President Biden and democrats in Congress.
