Syngenta Group announced that it would soon acquire Italian biotech company Valagro. The primary products of Valagro are considered biostimulants and specialty nutrients that are used in agriculture, gardening and manufacturing. The company also makes specialty ingredients for food, cosmetics and animal feed. The company touted the strength the acquisition provides in the area of biological inputs for agriculture, which is expanding rapidly around the globe.
