State Granted Section 18 for Brake Herbicide in Peanuts

The Arkansas State Plant Board announced that it has received from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) a section-18 permit for use of Brake herbicide (fluridone) in peanuts to control pigweed. The application was made to provide additional herbicide options for palmer amaranth (pigweed), which has become resistant to certain other herbicides. The label became effective April 15 and expires August 1. Brake is a registered trademark of SePRO Corporation.
