Southern Cotton Ginners Association Recognize Arkansans at Annual Meeting

The Southern Cotton Ginners Association (SCGA) recognized two Arkansans at its annual meeting in Memphis on February 25th. Dr. Fred Bourland, a cotton breeder with the University of Arkansas, was awarded the A. L. Vandergriff Cotton Pioneer Award from the Southern Cotton Ginners Association for 2021, and Elmer Baxter "B" Lindsey (deceased) was chosen for the SCGA's Memorial Scholarship for the coming year. Both men of Arkansas are well known for their contributions and leadership to the cotton industry in Arkansas and across the United States.

Sam E. Angel II of Lake Village, AR, who is a board member of the Ag Council of Arkansas, was elected to serve as President of the Southern Cotton Ginners Association for the years 2021-2022.
