On April 20th, Simmons Bank announced that it has hired Cole Plafcan as senior vice president and director of Agricultural Lending, a newly created division within Simmons Bank’s Community Banking group. According to Simmons Bank, Plafcan will oversee the bank's efforts to expand its agricultural business across its six-state footprint. According to the news release announcing the hiring of Plafan, Simmons Bank is ranked as one of the Top 35 Farming Lenders by volume.
Prior to joining Simmons Bank, Plafcan served as SVP, Chief Lending & Marketing officer at AgHeritage Farm Credit Services where he managed overall marketing strategy for loans, products and services, as well as overseeing development and implementation of business plans and operational policies.
