September 21 Crop Progress and Condition Report

On Monday, September 21st, the USDA National Agriculture Statistics Service (NASS) issued a Crop Progress and Condition Report. According to the report, Arkansas crops continue to be in solid condition, especially relative to some other states more significantly impacted by weather. Harvest for corn is estimated to be at 62 percent while rice is at 44 percent. Soybeans, cotton and peanuts are in the very early stages of harvest. Wet weather continues to challenge farmers looking to harvest their crops.
