On Friday, July 29th, the U.S. Senate approved the H.R. 7776, the Water Resource Development Act (WRDA) of 2022. The measure was approved as amended in the Senate 93-1 after previously being passed by the House 384-37. The measure will next go to conference between the House and Senate where the differences must be worked out. The WRDA bill, which is typically reauthorized every two years, provides spending authorizations for a wide range of water infrastructure projects managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
