Senate Ag Committee Discusses Bill to Develop New Climate Markets for Farmers

The U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee held a hearing on Wednesday to consider a new bipartisan bill (S. 3894, The Growing Climate Solutions Act of 2020) aimed at developing ecosystem markets for farmers that could provide new revenue streams for American farmers who participate in certain activities that address climate related issues. The measure has support from a broad range of agricultural groups interested in seeing agriculture capitalize on its positive contributions to mitigating emissions of green house gases.
