According to a recent article from the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, the Arkansas Department of Agriculture's State Plant Board has issued over $1 million in fine settlement offers to suspected violators of state laws and regulations governing use of dicamba herbicides. The purported violations under these settlement offers were made during the 2018 and 2019 crop year. Fines per violation may reach up to $25,000 per violation if they are considered to be egregious.
Individuals receiving the settlement offers may agree to pay the fines or request hearings to contest the claims against them.
