USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Chief Matt Lohr announced that he planned to depart the agency later this month to head back to his family farm in Virginia. Lohr joined the agency in December 2018. During his service Lohr did visit Arkansas where he toured much of the state to learn about conservation activities in Arkansas. It's not known who will replace Chief Lohr.
