Northeast Arkansas has become an area of significant concern for the ongoing spread of COVID-19 in recent days. The area's most populous county, Craighead County is considered the epicenter of concern as it recently reported the most new cases of any county in Arkansas. The Arkansas Department of Health and 11 area hospitals and medical institutions have joined in issuing warnings and urging area residents to be cautious and mitigate spread by practicing social distancing, wearing masks, and frequently washing hands.
