New Sake Venture to Launch in Hot Springs will Use Arkansas Rice

A new sake brewery is set to begin operations in Hot Springs, Arkansas, using locally grown rice from Lonoke County. The brewery, named Origami Sake, is a project that has been in the works for many years guided by Ben Bell a trained sake brewer and principal of the company. The brewery will source its rice, a primary component of the spirit, from Isbell Farms in Lonoke County. It will also use water sourced in Hot Springs. The brewery plans to be the most sustainably produced sake in the United States and will be first net-zero emission manufacturer in the world with 100 percent of its energy needs provided through renewably sourced electricity derived from solar.
