New H2A Rules Aimed at Streamlining Program

On Friday, January 15th, the U.S. Department of Labor finalized a series of rule changes aimed at easing some rules for employers under the H-2A visa program. The new rules provide for new electronic filing of job orders and applications, allowance of farmers to stagger the arrival of H-2A workers over a 120-day period, and permit a group of individual farms with the same need for agricultural services to file a single application to jointly employ H-2A workers.
