New Five Oaks Ag Research and Education Center Holds Open House

On Tuesday, September 28th, the new Five Oaks Ag Research & Education Center held its first "Open House" to showcase progress made to date on the public private partnership aimed at conducting unique education and research in the area of land management and wildlife habitat. The initiative, which was led by former Ag Council President George H. Dunklin, Jr., offers new education opportunities through the University of Arkansas System with the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) and the Division of Agriculture. The research center is located in Humphrey, Arkansas, and offers unique learning and experimental opportunities for individuals seeking to enter career fields related to land management and wildlife habitat.

The event featured speeches from Mr. Dunklin, University administrators, faculty, and students. In addition, the participants also took part in a field trip to look at ongoing research activities at various sites and the lab and meeting spaces of the center.
