NCC Grower Survey Data Suggests More Cotton Acres

The National Cotton Council (NCC) issued its annual grower survey data at the NCC Annual Meeting held in Houston, Texas, February 11-13. The results of the survey indicate a 7.3% increase to U.S. cotton acres, a 14.6% increase to Mid-South cotton acres, and an increase of 15.7% to Arkansas cotton acres. The NCC survey estimates 555,000 acres of cotton to be planted in Arkansas. Better futures market prices for cotton is the leading factor in the expected growth in acres.
